On December 15, 2009, Intrada also released a 3-CD set entitled Silvestri's Back to the Future: The Complete Score. The recordings were done by longtime Silvestri associate, and founding member of the Hollywood Studio Symphony, David Kahne. Kahne conducted the Hollywood Studio Symphony in a performance of the complete score, and the recording was supervised by Silvestri himself. The discs feature a new transfer of Silvestri's score as used in the film, with a previously-released and re-recorded version of the original score, a nearly complete track list of the 1985 Danny Elfman score, and the original source cues used for the Back to the Future: Intrada Special Collection CD. The second disc is a complete recording of composer Michael Giacchino's music for the Back to the Future Part II soundtrack, which was released on December 2, 1990 by Varse Sarabande. The collection also includes the previously unreleased music and several source cues that Silvestri used for the score.
